I-Theory: A Unifying Theory

A Holistic Theory of Everything

For centuries, scientists, philosophers, and spiritual seekers have shared a common aspiration: to discover the fundamental theoretical principle that unites all existence — a theory of everything. Famous scientists like Albert Einstein and Stephen Hawking spent most of their lives searching for one, unsuccessfully.

On 12 November 2010, at the inaugural session of the Global Energy Parliament, Jagadguru Swami Isa presented his answer to this timeless quest with the introduction of the “I-Theorem”. Since then, the I-Theory has been further developed, inviting dialogue across disciplines and initiating research into pathbreaking applications in physics, renewable energy, education, sustainable development, medicine and more.

Two Dimensions of Reality

At the heart of the I-Theory lies a simple yet profound insight: reality consists of two complementary dimensions. One is the ever-changing plane of vibrating Energy, from which arise every observable phenomenon and experience. The other is the non-changing plane of non-vibrating Consciousness. Knowingly or unknowingly, every being aims at reaching this reality, as it is their real nature. In this absolute reality, duality dissolves and only infinite bliss remains.

The I-Particle - Building Block of the Universe

Beyond the so-called elementary particles, as they are presently denoted by modern science, Swami Isa introduces the smallest, inseparable unit of Energy: the I-particle. It is the fundamental building block of the vibrating Energy universe, the true essence of everything manifested inside and outside ourselves. Its make-up is constant, yet always vibrating, consisting of three distinct frequencies at a defined ratio. These frequency portions of the I-particle carry each a qualitative aspect with them.

This qualitative assessment of energy provides a deeper understanding of the composition and interaction of different energy systems, not only in the field of particle science, but also with regards to the dynamic interactions between individuals, society, and nature. Understanding the different energy dominations and learning how to balance them can build the foundation for developing truly sustainable measures for ensuring our own well-being, as well as for protecting and perserving life on Earth and in the universe.

I-Theory and the Future of Science

The I-Theory offers a framework for exploring some of science’s biggest unanswered questions, from the Big Bang to quantum mechanics. This innovative work is underway at the GEP Research Centre.

One of the I-Theory’s most significant contributions is its recognition of life energy, or prana. While many of the world’s ancient cultures have long recognised the existence of a subtle life force, modern science has lacked a coherent theory or evidence of it. The I-Theory provides detail of the definition, composition, and behaviour of prana, and Swami Isa argues for study of it from primary school onwards in order to give complete knowledge about the biological world.

A Broader View of Reality

The I-Theory is not just a profound resource for scientists, but for every human being. It invites a perspective in which scientific exploration and inner understanding are not separate pursuits, but complementary approaches to a unified reality of Energy and Consciousness. Recognizing the relationship between our inner and outer worlds, the I-Theory sensitises us to the need for balancing thought, emotion, and action. We come to acknowledge that individual transformation contributes to collective harmony, and embrace the true responsibility we have as human beings.
