Sri. Sukanta Majumdar, the Honourable Minister of State for Education, Government of India, visited Kerala to understand the philosophy of education formulated by Jagadguru Swami Isa. While he was there, he inaugurated an International Education Symposium on November 2, 2025, at the Mascot Hotel, which brought together Kerala’s intelligentsia as well as proponents of Swami Isa’s education system from France and Germany.
In his Inaugural Address, Sri. Sukanta Majumdar commended the Education for Total Consciousness (ETC) system for its unique blend of ancient Indian knowledge traditions and groundbreaking modern science that enables the new generation to meet the challenges faced by the modern age. Teachers, researchers and policy makers must study it seriously and test it, he said.
He also released the German edition of Swami Isa’s “Human Manifesto. A Global Education Policy for Total Consciousness.”
The roundtable discussion examined how the ETC philosophy could inform curriculum design, teacher training, and the broader educational framework. Swami Isa addressed all participants’ questions and demonstrated the vast potential of ETC to building a more humane and harmonious society.
The symposium concluded with a consensus on the importance of establishing dedicated teacher training programmes to ensure effective implementation of the Education for Total Consciousness system. Minister Majumdar was presented with a proposal on the same.
