English Translation of “Prakrithiyaam Amma”

Mother of mothers, original Mother, natural Mother
Whose steady heart beats out creation
Holds it, and merges it back to Her self
O pure and primal Mother Nature!

Original Mother, natural Mother conceives
Vibrating knots bundled into quanta assembling into quarks.
Threading into subatomic particles, atoms and
The molecules which flesh our bodies out.

The Universe I observed and sensed
Was fashioned out of molecules.
The eternal act of Nature sharing Her self
O compassionate Universal Mother!

Nature raises all her children
Through myriad tastes and chemistries.
But when they become bored
They break away to make mischief.

To culture, new cultures are added
Artificial everything, also intelligence.
They suckle only artifice, proud
To be the latest trendsetter.

Thus they forgot Nature. They live for pleasure.
And for wealth they chop the world
To pieces which clink in the pocket
As they wander in terrible darkness.

The mighty cleaver goes up and down
Flesh, bone, marrow are hacked to pieces.
Heat gives up its natural rhythm
Heavy rains sow disease.

Her natural body breaks, pus oozes
All living beings uprooted and cast aside.
Thousands of souls disappear
Overnight, only wailing remains.

Life dreams smashed and
Become the mud of mud.
The purpose of all knowledge
Is only to see Nature’s smile.

When I give up the Nature
I never remain in the Nature.
Remaining reality is Purusha
Waiting to impart total happiness.

This umbilical relation must be preserved.
Mother takes birth from knowledge, children too.
Realize this! We are born from knowledge
And for the Great Knowledge.

Know this: through knowledge, Reality is realized.
Knowledge birth is for Consciousness.
Knowledge is for this sublime goal!
For this, the dear gift of life!
