IVPT international centers held an online group meditation and chanting session to celebrate the International Day of Peace on Tuesday, September 21st.
We recognise that the world, and all of us, are in need of the positive energies of peace, harmony and balance, especially in the current phase of negative energy. Meditation and chanting are powerful ways of changing the energy in ourselves, creating a protective layer, and sharing it with our environment.
A meditation on light began the session, followed by a group chanting of "The Human Mantra," a simple but powerful song composed by Jagadguru Swami Isa especially for this pandemic time.
This annual event for the International Day of Peace was begun in 2020 during the first Covid lockdowns, in which IVPT’s international yoga teachers and students gathered to chant online. A Sanskrit version of The Human Mantra is also available, called “Anandabodha I Suktham.”
Recordings of both are available on Swami Isa’s YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/c/IsaViswaPrajnanaTrust.
Thought of the Week
“Peace is not created by putting an end to change, but by keeping both positive and negative changes in a balanced state.”
