To address the heartbreaking incidents of youth violence, the Global Energy Parliament Chair was launched at the Raj Bhavan of Kolkata, inaugurated by the Hon. Governor of West Bengal Dr. C.V. Ananda Bose. GEP Chair Padmasree Dr. Kiran Vyas, GEP Research Director Dr. Christophe Dumas, 14 Vice Chancellors from universities across the state, as well as other prominent educationists and researchers, and representatives of schools and youth groups all participated.
The GEP Chair promotes Jagadguru Swami Isa’s system of holistic education that gives equal emphasis to objective and subjective knowledge, essentially bringing together the spiritual and material and emphasizing new skills, creativity and happiness in education. GEP is run by the Isa Viswa Prajnana Trust, a UN accredited body.
“The whole world, the UN, and other agencies have accepted the I-Theory and Education for Total Consciousness taught by the GEP which fuse together subjective and objective knowledge,” said the Hon. Governor. “These concepts will be very useful to improving the education culture of West Bengal. The GEP Chair has been instituted in the Raj Bhavan, so let us request the Vice Chancellors and other institutes to take it up and implement it here.”
The Chair will form Students' and Teachers' Parliaments in the state to address the present challenges in education. In addition, it will promote research on education and the science of energy.
Dr. Kiran Vyas, who holds the position of the Chair, addressed the august gathering. His work in the realms of education, culture and yogic sciences has garnered significant recognition in Europe and India. Dr. Christophe Dumas, from France, also spoke about the research work to be done by the GEP Chair and the international significance of the I-Theory, a ground-breaking framework that explores the interconnectedness of individual and collective energy created by GEP Founder Jagadguru Swami Isa.
The Chair's activities will be carried out with the support of esteemed faculty, researchers, and partners committed to advancing knowledge and practice in education and research in West Bengal. This initiative marks a significant milestone in the joint commitment of the GEP and the Raj Bhavan of West Bengal to promoting progressive and impactful educational and cultural initiatives.
