Torrential rains are striking Kerala, and IVPT has visited housing colonies (slums) in Thiruvananthapuram to provide some relief. Over the few weeks, volunteers distributed food kits, clothing, bedding, sanitary items and household items were later provided to residents.

The Isa Viswa Vidyalayam has also done a collection drive and collected many materials. Please contact the IVPT if you have materials to donate for flood relief. Items in need as of August 15 are new saris, bedsheets, blankets, nighties, lungis, cleaning supplies, packaged non-perishable food, and bottled water.
