In honour of the United Nations' Peace Day, the Global Energy Parliament held a public meeting at Isa Viswa Vidyalayam, Anayara, Trivandrum today. His Holiness Swami Isa, Founder of the Parliament, gave a discourse emphasizing that all conflict, violence, warfare, stress, and unhappiness stem from wrong thought, which can only be corrected by a society which implements total education.
“When you have the thought that the outer world and your own self is made of the same energy and the same Consciousness, you never will harm others. Intellects vibrating with this knowledge will create sustainable peace. The ‘I theory’ is the science, and Total Education is the way,” Swamiji said.
Dr. M.R. Thampan, Secretary of the Global Energy Parliament, reminded the gathering about the Resolutions passed by the Global Energy Parliament in Geneva, Switzerland last year, on the topic of “The Science of Peace in Humans, Humans in Peace.” The Resolutions emphasized:
- The ideological gap between one’s self and the outer world is the basis of all unhappiness and loss of peace. Education that brings together the objective and subjective world in a scientific format has the capacity to impart the knowledge of oneness and the pathways to peace.
- The proliferation of gender violence, and all other forms of violence today, stems from incomplete education. Total Education must impress upon the mind the fundamental sameness of the energy in ‘I’ and the ‘other.’ This type of education creates human beings imbued with compassion, empathy, understanding, love, and respect for all.
- The “Education for Total Consciousness” methodology is fully endorsed by the GEP and should be promoted in schools around the world.
The Secretary of the Isa Viswa Prajnana Trust commended the work of the Global Energy Parliament in the field of inner and outer peace. The Trust’s new teacher training programs in yoga and meditation would go a long way in creating the right inner environment for outer peace, he said.
The Global Energy Parliament is organized by the Isa Viswa Prajnana Trust, a registered charitable organization in consultative status to the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC). Further details can be found online at www.global-energy-parliament.net
